Can we bring our own food?
Twelve Acres is a full service catering company that does not rent out its ballroom alone. We provide all necessary catering for your function needs.
Can we bring our own ethnic hors d'oeuvres?
We are sorry we do not allow food items to be brought in. We will, however gladly prepare a specialty item for your guests.
How many people can you accommodate?
Twelve Acres can accommodate functions from 45 to 450 people. Indoors our function rooms can accommodate from 35-- 250. Our outdoor Pavilion can accommodate up to 600 or more with add-on tents.
Is there a fee to rent the room?
Yes, facility fees apply. Fees differ based on the room you have booked for your event. Please ask your sales manager for more information.
Can I bring my own beverages?
In accordance with RI State Law, all beverages must be purchased from Twelve Acres. Anyone found bringing in any alcoholic beverages, will be asked to leave immediately.
How long do I have the room?
This is dependent upon the time of day of your function and can be answered by your sales manager. All events include a 5 hour block of time.
When can I access the room to decorate?
Your room will be available to decorate one hour prior to your function.
If you require extra time to set-up and decorate there will be an additonal charge. If you are hiring an outisde decorator, they must contact us to make arrangments and there may be a fee if they require extra set-up time.
Can I come to see the room set up before I book?
Most definitely. In fact, we encourage you to do so. It is best to call the Event Planner and have them look for a function that is similar in size and set up to yours.
Do you provide Audio Equipment?
Some, at no charge you will have access to our microphone and podium, a 6'x6' screen, floor easels, and any display tables that you may need. Any other audio visual equipment required, will need to be provided by you. Please indicate which items are needed when booking the event.
Do you have Valet Parking?
No, there is plenty of free, ample parking adjacent to the entrance and also handicap parking available.
Do you have Centerpieces available to use?
No we do not, but we have a number of outside vendors that we can refer you to.
Can I use candles on my tables?
Yes, candles are permitted; by law, they must be in an approved, fire-resistant container. We do not allow real votives candles.
Do you have a place for my Wedding ceremony?
We can accommodate wedding ceremonies on site. Our outdoor wedding arch is available on a first booked basis. Ceremonies may also be performed in your room. For more details see your event planner.
What color are your chairs?
Beige, we can also offer chair covers or Chiabarri chairs at an additional charge.
Do you have a bar minimum?
A minimum is required based upon the size of your group and room.
Do you cater to special dietary needs?
Yes, Vegetarian, vegan, gluten -free meals are available but MUST be pre-ordered. If there are any other types of allergies, please advise prior to your event so that accommodation may be made. If specials meals are not pre-ordered, they will not be available for your event.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes, we do and it's free of charge!
